I honestly didn't expect Johnny Doom to be so much fun. Playing on "Plutonia Pete" difficulty is one hell of a ride.
I love the way Glory Kills are implemented and J points. All of this is so much better than Brutal Doom.

It's even weirder because they made the new chaingun extremely reliable and they even did away with the annoying prefire windup from 2016, so it just flatout outclasses the AR now. Accuracy isn't even a detriment because most of the combat won't take place at distances 10 feet and beyond. Which is good because fuck cowadoody ARs.

I actually hate how Doom 3 had to screw over the concept of the chaingun. It already was a low-end machinegun equivalent in the classic games, except it was cooler by virtue of it being a handheld minigun.
What do we need a fucking rifle in a futuristic setting for?

Oh that's right, we're talking the same company that couldn't produce a shotgun that could hit the broad side of a barn, or grenades that didn't bounce all over like rubber marbles.
