I am new to CRT enthusiasm and just picked up pic related, a Sony Trinitron 2530 circa 1988.

I can connect to S video, composite, or old computer monitor cable.

I was wondering if it was worth picking up a SCART to CMPTR cable to connect some of my consoles to it or would the difference between that, s video, or even composite be negligible?
And if it is worth it to do on consoles like the NES, SNES, Master System, Mega Drive, etc would it also be worth it on newer consoles like the Saturn, Dreamcast, N64, Gamecube, etc?

If it is worth doing could someone point me in the right direction to get SCART cables for all my retro consoles and even a SCART selector that I can input multiple consoles at the same time?

Thanks a lot.

Thanks for all the info man, I appreciate it.

I will definitely be buying that breakout cable you linked and SCART cables for all my older consoles. Do you know of any SCART input switches that I can plug in multiple consoles and just switch between the consoles via channel 1,2,3 etc?

Also, would it be worth it to get SCART cables for consoles like the dreamcast and gamecube or would S video or composite be sufficient?

Also, here is a pic of my temporary set up.
