Silent Hill is such a tragic example of when the corporate interference just ruins everything. You have a small team given the minimum of budget and no respect by the suits and they work their asses off to make something with real vision and in surprising twist it actually takes off in a big way. But then there's the smell of money and the team that made it get their series yanked from under them and it's sold out and turned to complete crap.
