I think the reason people still care about NiGHTS is because it really did have a unique aesthetic that nothing has really replicated since

Shame Sega has completely lost whatever creative spark they had back in the 90’s.

Like other anons have said, NiGHTS is a pretty fun score attack. If you go into it looking for something more you’ll be disappointed, but if you like arcade gameplay and decent replayability you’ll have a good time.
