Sounds like a wrong warp glitch or something. I can actually see it happening. Such a thing is done in speedruns to go from beating Queen Gohma to Ganon's Tower collapsing, letting you beat the game in about half an hour.

And yeah, when I went in there I was expecting an empty room but this fucking Stalfos appeared out of nowhere, making me shit bricks.
