Can we please discuss pic related and compare BOTH (SNES/Mega Drive) versions of it. As a European I never knew that this is a SNES exclusive in the USA. To me Mega Drive was always seemed to be the home for QUALITY Disney Games (used to be a Sega fanboy but many years ago I've realized how many awesome games there are for SNES) with Castle of Illustion, Land of Illusion, World of Illusion, QuackShot and a way better Aladdin. On the other hand nothing beats Duck Tales. I don't want this to turn into a flame war of SNES/Genesis - lets just discuss our opinions and keep this civil.
So Donald in Maui Mallard: The SNES one is clearly superior when it's about graphics. Wonderful bright colours, nice ANIMATED text font (letters with a gradient bounce up and down instead of plain golden letters in the Genesis version). The scrolling of the SNES version is AWFUL. Seriously it gave me a headache. Every time you turn left or right it has to scroll almost an entire screen. I gave up on the SNES version just because of it's awful scrolling. The Genesis version clearly has problems with the collision detection where stuff already hurts you that didn't even touch you- the jumping is kinda off and a bit weird as well. Overall it seems clunky.

Still waiting on the sequel the ending promised ...

Nobody ever talks about this game. It's a little slippery sometimes and the password system is retarded, but it's an interesting and unique platformer with a lot of good ideas.
