That's quite truth, and the PSP homebrew scene was a great example. Unfortunately the hardware was a problem in the end, and it can be noticed on SNES and Genesis emulation (Still, I love my PSP, it's the almost definitive emulation console).

I'm quite interested on the GCW-zero. It seems to run SNES and Genesis pretty well (with a 1.0 Ghz CPU and an OpenGL 2.0 capable GPU, it's quite possible) How does it perform on PSX emulators?

Yeah, if it was ARM, it could run a lot of other things. MIPS was understandable in the PSP era, but now it just seems like a weird choice. I wonder why they did that.

I agree with you (I have a PSP as well), but android devices are quickly getting better and cheaper (JXD has come a long way on their devices quality). hardware-wise they are quite powerful, and android has a lot of competent emulators (Broglia's emulators, retroarch, Mupen 64 AE, PPSSPP etc.). I just wish those devices had unlocked bootloaders and we could boot minimal linux distributions to just focus the hardware on gaming (like retropie, Lakka or Puppy arcade).
