cutoff sets the black level, drive sets the maximum red/green/blue/white level. If you've got something you can run 240p suite on or some other test video / generator bring up gradient bars, aim to make all of the colours visible at 1 and gone at 0, with the white bar going cleanly from black to a neutral white without a noticeable colour inbetween.

So I'm trying to run through the 240p suite on a new CRT but it doesn't have individual color sliders to do this test with. Should I just skip it or what?

I already messed with it a couple months ago but I could never get it quite right. When I set the black level correctly (according to the 240p suite) the only color I can see at level 1 is green. I also can't distinguish most blues and reds from each other.
