OP already mentioned Star Fox, but I'm posting it anyways
Kinda silly how Nintendo has tried and failed numerous times to recapture the magic of this particular one. I played the Wii U one and it's not actually that bad, the only problem is that the motion controls with the big heavy screen pad just plain doesn't work unless you practice it for tens of hours. Also annoying that the dialogue comes out the pad's speakers and not the TV.

This is one of my favorite video games of all time.

Though I've never played the first on the SNES, I'm planning on rectifying that today in preparation for Star fox zero. In the meantime, what are your guys' thoughts on the series?
