The HD pack is a mixed bag for me. I love the M16 / Colt Commando with the M203 and the SPAS-12 model but I don't particularly like the beretta. I also think the marines look a lot better in HD but scientists' and barneys' faces look uncomfortable.

I think it's more about the "spirit" how it would link together. There's a lot of unseen architecture or stuff we only see a glimpse of that would fill the space between the levels. Still overall I would like to imagine Valve had a vision of the general layout of Black Mesa Research Facility and I feel like it all comes together really well in immersing you to the environment.
