A couple of years ago I finally got all platinums on my childhood save of Crash 3, and also caught all 151 in Pokemon Red. They were pretty big achievements for me, the next step is getting all Platinums in Crash Bash and catching all 386 Pokemon in Gen 3. I think that's my main childhood games beaten once I've done that.

>Stereotypical Geordie too lazy to actually help Lara in TR3, despite promising to
As an actual Geordie this made me chuckle. And yes I am a lazy bastard.

I remember the best Christmas I ever had
>Sister and I got GBAs
>I got a purple one with Crash Bandicoot XS (Literally the only game I cared about, I loved Crash Bandicoot), Inspector Gadget and Moto GP).
>She got a silver one with the Salt Lake City Olympics game, Dinotopia and something else I can't remember
>Finish opening presents
>Parents point to one last box hidden behind the tree, addressed to both of us
>PS2 with Crash WoC, Jak & Daxter, Donald Duck, Rocket Power & the Britney Spears game with dancemat
God that was a great year. My parents must've been selling drugs or something.

Sometimes I remember this advert and chuckle thinking about the random Japanese kids who expected wacky alien adventures, and instead got a brutal tale about capitalism and slavery.

When I was a kid I got my mum to make me a tail out of a green shopping bag, and I ran around the house spinning around shouting kersplat and wahey.
I replayed both games about a year and a half ago. Croc 1 is sluggish and clunky (but in fairness I played the Saturn version, which I feel was worse than the PS1 verson), but has great music and the levels look nice. Croc 2 starts really strong but the levels get more tedious as the game goes on, also you can tell they ran out of time because the Inca village is like half the size of the others, the Cowboy Village on the back of the manual isn't even in the game and the "secret world" are just snippets of previous levels (also they make up 40% of the game's completion despite being the last hour at most?).
