yfw the mountain is red because the level is supposed to look like 1-1

Apparently the canyon area of Bob-omb Battlefield was originally filled with water which explains the bridges and the opening gate. But it was deemed too difficult to traverse and was removed by the devs early on.
Do you think actually would have improved the level? I always thought that empty most area was weird and a river through the course would have added a nice dynamic. I bet Giles Goddard is to blame.

In Bomb-omb battlefield, you can see some islands in the distance. This means that the battlefield is part of an archipelago and supposedly, there are other areas similar to that one. People have been trying to reach the island with wings or cannons, without success...
