/vr/ - Retro Games

New to retro games and I just beat this and thought it was great. Besides other games in the series what would you recommend like this?
I also beat kid icarus but I didn't really enjoy it and just found it to be annoying most of the time,

actually, nevermind. None of those suggestions fit the "iconic for how bad it was" theme that Bubsy, Phalanx, and that weird Bomberman thing does.

Perhaps the Megaman boxart guy would, but he was already put in Streetfighter vs Tekken.

The guy on the front has an excellent power stance

The Megaman series.

Though I think it's well designed and has a ton of charm I don't care for how slow it is and how restrictive the aiming controls are. To some extent it just feels like a watered down run 'n' gun shooter to me. The music is consistently amazing though.

And no offence Megaman fans but some of you are insufferably annoying, especially after that Mighty No. 9 debacle
