I got an ossc a couple years ago along with an LCD when I was getting back into games and it was a pretty good experience. Then a few months later I was browsing fb marketplace out of curiosity and got a free trinitron with component in. OSSC immediately pretty much stopped getting used. Last year I replaced my LCD with a high end OLED and thought maybe I'd go back to the flat panel. Scaler and OLED is a nice combo but idk for me it just wasn't hitting the same still.

At the end of the day, scalers are kind of a cope. If you are gonna go flat panel then the actual chad combo is OLED and emulating with 4k crt shaders, it looks better than just upscaled/linedoubled hardware alone, hands down. Otherwise just get a crt like a normal person
