Never played the original but honestly what could be missing?
Shitty graphics and bad voice acting can be funny but doesnt make it better
10/10 as is.

RE4 was an upgrade in every single way.

How'd they do it? I don't know a single other game that has such universal recognition of not just being good, but being excellent and near flawless.

Was the gc remake and improvement or downgrade in your opinion? I'm planning on that being my next play through.

i never beat this or the original but i absolutely loved this on gc. the atmopshere itself felt like something never made before in a video game. it kept the tank controls iirc which i was fine with but my main focus here is the fact that it was completely the same, isolating angles and all. the only thing improved on was the graphics and sound, i guess you could say overall presentation visually and audibly. the small added bits to the gameplay were good too, masks needed to progress etc but it was awesome. i highly recommend it over the ps1 game.

REmake is objectively better than Resident Evil 1 and its various versions. What are some other examples of remakes that are better than the original?
