I had a weird ass dream about it recently, where i went and started fucking around in it and found out that beating Bowser was only half of the game, the other half was against that fatty ghost from TYOD.

Does anyone know anything about how this game was received originally in Japan? I know it was moderately popular here, but it seems like more people recognize the sequel than the original. I personally feel this is one of the best games on the n64 and is a truly timeless classic.
