I also remember I got Animal Crossing, Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex, and I think Super Monkey Ball 2 for Christmas that year. Still played tons of romhacks, mostly for Sonic 1 and 2. At that point I was probably fooling around with Bleem or something trying to get it to work. Also I'm pretty sure I discovered hentai either that year or the year later

I remember it was a huge deal because it was the first Sonic game on Nintendo... well, probably that was one of the GBA games, but Adventure 2 on GC was a big deal.

Why is the design of this cover so awesome?

I'll always be resentful with the Adventure series because it reminds me of the time Sega went down, went third party and Sonic went to Nintendo.
When pic related came out I was so infuriated.
A few years ago I bought a Gamecube and loved SA2B and all the other Sega games on it, I stopped being a console war baby, but it still hurt back then.
