I've been playing this lately:

It's basically Wolf 3D recreated in the Doom engine (more polished graphics, destructible furniture, sloped floors, elevators, etc), but with a lot more weapons, and a decent amount of Brutal Doom touches.

It's really quite fun, and it's the full Wolf experience, the first three episodes of the original game, and the three extra episodes of the Nocturnal Missions. It doesn't have the Spear of Destiny missions, sadly, which I've never been able to play.

If you miss playing Wolfenstein 3D, here's a great way to do it.

I would totally dig a modernized version of Wolfenstein's pistol-gripped minigun.

There hasn't been a proper assessment of wolf3d guy, only brusque dismissal.

Pros:
> Yes, can grow back limbs by eating dog food
> Foes, the Nazis, absurdly stronger than demons or aliens. The whole internet put together cannot defeat them

Cons:
> No, doesn't know how to melee. Can stab at air with knife and it makes a "doink" sound, but that's it.
> Polish

I do not know if he is stronger by overcoming the hardest opposition with such serious personal handicaps. But it should be considered.
