Semi related, but have you guys ever seen Double Deagon on the Atari 7800? This game really pushed that machine to its limits and was a really solid port. Amazing work for an Atari.

Atari at its absolute best could be pretty good, but this is in rare cases when developers pushed it to its absolute limits

A case that comes to mind is the Double Dragon port on the 7800 which was actually superior to the NES version

It's fucking crazy how good they made it look on the 7800

They really squeezed the resources of that console to the limit with this port

This was on an Atari 7800 which was a miracle of programming given the technology

You should strive to break boundaries of what's possible like these guys did
