honestly, unless you're an enthusiast. I would just get up-scaler or use emulators with some filters on that HDTV of yours.

you can get some really great results with retroarch on an HDTV or monitor. (see this pic of from my Samsung hdtv)

most of the time CRTs are more trouble than they're worth. especially if your OCD about image quality (like me)

I rarely ever use my CRT anymore.
