Well...I use a Mega Drive PSU for my SFC. I can't remember if it's MD1 or MD2 - I think it's a MD1 PSU.

The console outputs RGB. There are differences between PAL RGB and JP RGB. The pin outs on the scarts are different aka EUROSCART vs JP21.

Honestly, I don't think it's a huge deal because I have also used the cables I have always had with no issue.
