Well they all do represent different parts of him but I think Cray's one of the easier characters to point to. Like Ursula's really cool and a good example of why not everyone in the empire is evil, being a bit haughty and commanding but generally chill but she's basically the same person she is at the end of the game as when you meet her. Which is to say best girl.

Ursula doesn't really go through a whole lot of change but at the same time she really didn't have too. Like you said she's mostly there to show the empire isn't all full of monsters. Her justification for joining the party and her goals are simple but they make sense. The empire still wants the dragon and at the point she joins the dragon decides he wants to see the Emperor. That they want the same thing just makes both their lives easier. Plus as you go along you do get to see more to her than just stoicism and loyalty hell she even suggests taking you to Rhun rather than the current Emperor or worse yet Yuuna so she's not loyal to the point of stupidity which is a nice change.

Honestly having her NOT question her loyalties and go through a crisis of faith regarding them is actually a nice change of pace.

And there are plenty of moments throughout that flesh out her personality, give her some quirks develop relationships etc. Id say she's simple but simple doesn't have to mean shallow.

Yeah it was a real disappointment to open the book and only see the most basic of character info and some stuff that, while I can't say for certain looked obviously wrong

we got FIVE ninas and only two cat girls and they didn't even share a name. Nina is defiantly more definitive than Katt to the point where her existence is a series staple.
