So I have 500-600 bucks to spend, could go up more if there's a case to be made.
I want to focus mainly on PS2 emulation and skyrim/new vegas autistic mods at highest settings?

What would this venerable general recommend?
I saw the steam deck is on sale, but I've been checking reviews and see that the new Loki out performs it?
I'd be fine with a laptop too should that be a choice? I haven't bought a new one of those in 2 decades.
I don't have the space for a gaming PC; I'll still research this if you want me to get good.
There's just like near a dozen options, I'm tempted by those mini handheld laptop things that start with "GPD" despite the price?
