Project Eden, my beloved mediocrity. Great atmosphere, solid team puzzle and resource management game, a little bit "what were they thinking" at action and enemy types.

Project EDEN. It's a Lost Vikings style character-swapping puzzle game, set in the increasingly haunted undercity of a severe cyberpunk dystopia. Each character has different abilities and strengths, and you have to figure out how to get the right ones into the right places to solve the problems so you could progress. I fucking love this game and think it was unpopular at the time for wrong reasons: it got looked at like it was just a bad third person shooter, but it's completely a puzzle and exploration game and great at both.

You have never played Project Eden, but you really really should.

It got reviewed like a failed FPS. It's a puzzle game, cyberpunk lost vikings, and it's fucking great.

>Project Eden
I forgot about this! Project Eden was the fucking DEFINITION of cyberpunk. It wasn't just a game set somewhere with neon and technology.

You play as a squad of futuristic law-enforcement agents that you swap between to accomplish tasks, one of which was a towering robot, and you spend the game digging deeper and deeper into layers of an upwards-built megacity, where layers were poorer and more abandoned by the upper city the farther you went. The underclasses are destitute, live in shanties, their lives crushed by the upperclasses and made to waste their livelihoods in factories at best or die of a new super disease at worst, while you walk around in power armor use high tech weapons and tools and a literal robot to try and solve their problems and get to the bottom of the disease. You have to see the system of designed inequality from the top to the bottom firsthand. Project Eden was the cyberpunkest shit.
