Because it is. PCs say unique lines at your own city each step you advance through the story and all of them has their spotlight in the story. They are also not boring humans and plot devices.

He's silent, but he's a developed character with him, father, mother and sister being separated by the accident. He also learns truth about who he really is, who his family really is later in the game. He's also burdened with some heavy choices.

I am not even gonna waste time quoting you like you did my post. Basically, everything you bothered to write is plain wrong. If you actually came there to enjoy the game and not bitch and seek validation for yourself, you'd understand that.

Also, BoF2 is fairly popular, more popular than Dragon Quest 5/6 (in the West), Mother 2 (in the West), SMT2 and Terranigma, so I am not the only one thinking that, don't let that delude you.
