Played a fair bit of California Speed as a kid and I really like Virtua Racing Deluxe on 32X.

If you like the game itself OP I recommend trying out Virtua Racing Deluxe as well. Completely different type of game but if nothing else it's probably one of the best games on 32X.

Same here. I can sort of see why people like it but I couldn't even make it past the first boss. Virtua Racing Deluxe, After Burner, Shadow Squadron, and Darxide are also good if OP is in the mood for more 32X games.

I really like Knuckles Chaotix and Virtua Racing Deluxe on the 32X. SEGA CD is my favorite but 32X deserves some recognition as well

Try Virtua Racing Deluxe or OutRunners. Some people really like Daytona USA though I prefer Championship Circuit Edition, there's also the Top Gear series and Lotus Turbo Challenge. I personally like Road Rash on SEGA CD and Road Spirits on Turbo CD, even though the latter isn't very good by most people's standards

32X version is better imo

This reminds me there is a Dreamcast infographic floating around that shows games like Sonic and Crazy Taxi as multiplatform, which kind of makes sense in current year, but I feel like it kind of misses the point of what the Dreamcast was like when it was actually around. You could also make a case for all of Saturn's arcade ports being playable on MAME nowadays, but again I feel that kind of misses the point of what it was like when there was no MAME and it was either the console or going to the arcade.
