Mental gymnastics.

>have to pull 5 switches
>3 of them are in places it would take a map editor or hours and hours of mind-numbing methodical combing of every surface to find
>no hint at all that you're even supposed to be looking for switches
>no indication of what the switches do
>finally pull all of them
>the talisman(s) are accessible
>have an energy field that kills you around them
>to dispel it you have to go get a seemingly useless scroll on the other fucking side of the map
>no indication that it's important or has a use
>the text on the scroll itself has nothing to do with what it does

Jesus CHRIST what were they thinking with this mission? I'm really enjoying this game but fuck am I glad I finally broke and looked up a walkthrough for this. This is Sierra level cryptic.
