I kind of favor the Puyo Puyo Fever orange on white better for the controller.

While I do not mind, I would prefer if the XYZ were the same size as the ABC buttons as well. They were made convex to give a distinction on feel, so that is not much an issue to me.

I like the Puyo Puyo Fever one. It is orange on white. Sega Saturn pads have a few nice colors available.

Oh no, my feelings, they're hurt.

Great, the price of isopropyl has increased in my area. I use a lot of it, but I may have to opt to not restore the PDP pad, since it is seldomly used. Not exactly worth the restoration effort for the price.

I still like it. The mentality is that it is a sort of hybrid between an arcade stick and d-pads. I like arcade controls having all the buttons comfortably accessible with one hand but my execution of fighting game motions are better with Sega Saturn pads due to retained muscle memory of decades which is difficult to undo.

I can name more PC ports that did not come with controllers.

The Puyo Puyo Fever controller is one of my favorite color variations the controller. The game is not as good as prior iterations, but the main selling point was the included controller.

I remember the Play Sega controllers were just rebranded cheap unlabeled controllers. Similar to the ones you can find at $5USD for two sets that were abundant at the time.

I have not tried the M30s yet, but they look good. They have the style of a Genesis 6-button controller so it should have some similarities.

I've gotten very accustomed to playing a lot of games with the Saturn pad and the only thing I wish of it was to have similarly sized XYZ buttons. I am not a super player of games but I am pretty much alright with my execution in some games like Zero2 with it (I'm on P2 side with a few of my non-mains): https://youtu.be/tiBrDC7XUQ0

I like the orange-white Puyo version on the right here.

>>8437769
I read they are licensed from Sega and want to give it a try. Once I save up enough, I'll probably get that next.

Back in my day, that is called "blister packaging". It has the benefit of being clear to show the product to the customer and also large enough such that it is a slight theft deterrent keeping the small product from being easily pocketed.

>>7859480
I do not know who that is. Back then they were about $30-$40USD each new. These days you can get USB ones for under $20USD.

Intel is the luxury and Linux option, so in those days I was using the AMD poverty option. I think the Pentium 4 era was when I was on Athlon XP. I remember adapting Sega Saturn controllers for emulated games.

Still the best for me. In fighting games, my execution is on point using them. They lack the analog sticks and triggers for modern titles, but for general purpose, they are my preferred controllers.

Thanks for the info, but that image is misleading. I was getting ready to buy one, but I thought 25% off of $25USD would mean it is $18.75, but it is $20 on Amazon (plus shipping). I was wondering how it would compare too.

Those were the colors Sega used for the Macintosh editions of the Saturn pads. I also like the colors of the Sonic blue and Puyo Puyo orange-white.
