I'm planning to buy a PS2 FAT model and searched online for ways to play pirated games on it. All these options and different methods are giving me a headache, I'm inclined to use OPL but apparently using it with USB sucks during FMVs, so I was wondering if anyone can recommend a better method, or a good resource out there that explain all this shit.

Could that backlight break if it were to fall on the floor, like if it fell out of your hands while you were standing up?

Took me probably 100 attempts to finally understand this boss fight, but what you're meant to do from the start of the fight is to stand still when the fight starts and when dracula appears wait for him to open his cape, shoot the fireball, then jump and hit him. If you do it correctly you're on the right pattern but at that point you gotta make sure you keep a mental note of draculas position (if he's either right or left) because THAT is the direction he'll spawn in on and that's when you walk if he teleports onto you.

If you fuck it up (he spawns facing left, and you're walking right) you'll get hit, but if you just remember "dracula spawned left last time so position belmont right this time and walk if he spawns on belmont", you'll basically never die as long as you're quick on movement. His second form though, I have no idea. Have crosses/holy water and hope for the best.

This anon is right, OP. I remember sending a friend a video of me playing that stage just to show how to cheese this stage if he takes it slowly.

https://files.catbox.moe/likf8k.webm

I'm not even good at the stage and get hit multiple times but if I'm able to do it, so can you, OP.

Is this the FF thread?

Should I play through FF 1-3 with the official english translations or with better more faithful fan-translations?

B3 is for those light and breezy skirmishes in the first week. B2 is when a strong CPU hero attacks you during his turn and you have to fight for your life, anxiously trying to turn the tide. B1 is for the big ones, the sieges and decisive battles where the outcome of the match is on the line.

Is it okay to put Stables on a map? Upgrading Cavaliers for free sounds insanely OP and damaging to the player balance, but I never play Castle so this is just my guess from an outsider's perspective.

That makes me wonder: how did Gen Xers and Boomers make good games without having had hardly any experience playing them themselves, nor universities? How did they learn game design so fast and so fully?
