I recently saved a pristine Toshiba Blackstripe RF set in perfect working condition from the curb in front of a house. It's from 1985.

Any CRT is worth saving. At worst, the tubes will work in arcade game chassis for those with a few cabs. The woodgrain goes with the old Ataris and shit too. If you have the space this is no problem. They made so fucking many that there are many RF only ones still out there.

There are a mountain of excellent old CRT sets that are RF only and all the classic early 80s consoles like Intellivision, 2600/5200/7800 are RF unless modified. As CRTs become more scarce, RF racists like OP are going to have to lower their standards.

I recently rescued a 1985 Toshiba Blackstripe, identical to pic, when a neighbor put it out on the curb with a sign saying working. I already have a top end Ikegami TM20-80r broadcast monitor, a Wega 32, a RCA Colortrak 27, a 1982 Sony Videoscope front mirror 3 crt PJ set, and a 19 inch Trinitron RF only. I wasn't about to let another old tube TV get trashed.
