i played the japanese version with three hit points until i could play through the whole game without losing a life and i still got my ass kicked the first run, i guess the brutality of losing a life from one hit made me nervous...
i used save states to practice, i literally played this game for the first time yesterday. having an efficient mode for practice makes these games way less frustrating, i have no idea how boomers got good at this when they had to play through everything all over again everytime they got to a new boss
