What's "your system"?

The platform you keep coming back to, that you enjoy most, that you like even beyond the games? For me, it's the PSX.

While it's easy to just call it nostalgia, and there is some truth to that, to me it just captures a particular time. It felt "new" in a way that other consoles either side never did, and even to this day when I play a game for the first time I feel that "newness."

The funny thing is that at the time I didn't rate it that highly, casting it aside almost as soon as the PS2 came out. But with the passage of time I've come to prefer it above nearly all other platforms. I've come to realize that all of the decades-old backlog titles are nearly all PSX games.
