- New 3DS has poor quality control with screens. Expect to see bright and darkened areas shortly after using it for the first time. The top screen has a yellowish tint. I don't know if New 2DS XL improved on the screen. GB and GBA games emulate well or work natively with GBA runner, but there will be blurred stretching (you can modify the scaling technique if you hack it). I tried at least one snes game with high resolution mode and it seemed to run ok, but it may have been using an older version of Snes 9x

- I have the RG351V. It has a good 640x480 screen. PSX and 240p(ish) consoles will look great, but GBA won't (can't use integer scaling). If that's your thing, other models have a better resolution for GBA. Don't get it if sound glitches annoy it. You could get one of the other anbernic models that have a better resolution for GBA games

If you don't care about emulating PSX (I tried on the new 3ds, was super slow) and don't mind creating your own injects, the 3DS may be a better choice than a an RG351. You would have the entire DS and 3DS catalogue available, on top of the not very demanding emulators.

Right now I wonder if it would have been better to pay for something slightly more beefier than the 351V.
