Oh good, someone posted at least one CV Death, let me add another.

>one of, maybe even the best entrance he's ever had
>like as if his power was already cast over the world and he's centering it all in one place to deal with (you)
>on the attack the instant he's done
>various moves actually do different levels of damage and can hurt like fuck
>multi-tasking ground-bound move where he's trying to pull you in, spin his big scythe hella fast, AND actually has an invisible forcefield on his half of the room that'll burn up your subweapon the moment it leaves your grasp
>surprise cunt move where he'll sweep across the room when he's done

In execution, I'm probably making the guy sound harder than he really is, but dude has a surprising bit going on when you stop to think about it, and he does it with a creepy style that I don't see all that often in later games.

Aw man, Death's probably my favorite CV character, so that's hard as fuck, and it doesn't help that all of them have some good shit going on for them.

Probably IV because fuck me, that entrance alone is like _the_ portrayal of Death for me, and he rocks the classical reaper depiction in traditional dress, transparency effect emphasizing his otherworldliness, the aforementioned entrance and that pulsing red glow denoting his power in sin like as if it's being gathered from every corner of the globe into one space because you've shown yourself to be that much of a nuisance, and he starts attacking the instant he's finished forming, too! It's funny how the actual fight is arguably pretty easy, because Death displays so many powers and abilities here, from flying at high speed at the word "go", flinging sickles right at you like he has no more patience, and telekinesis or some sort of pull over reality to pull you in at the same time he spins his scythe all over the place, burning your pleb subweapons to a crisp right as they leave your hand if your close enough. Every other Death will always have some level of presence, whether 64!Death having some level of import undersold by his less flashy appearance, the PS2 Deaths covering the arena in fire, or the myriad 2D Deaths that play up his knowledge, on-the-fly cunning, and skill with his weapon, but I don't think any of them exhibit the menace and dicks-out-for-Dracula murderous intent of Death in IV. If I were to be locked in a house in a fight with one them, IV would be one of the last ones I's want to deal with, because he's one of, if not the most straight to the point of them who'd gun right for me and I don't remember if he can be stunlocked.

Honorable mention to the PS2 Deaths, I just really love the idea of Death having fire attacks, especially spammable nukes.

>But why is Death a servant of Dracula though?
Something something alchemical crimson stone, Dracula embodies all evil, yada yada.

Heck, you don't even need to do that.

Would hate to give Australia more ammo, but putting aside having to get away when he pulls you in, you can stay in the center and hold up whenever you get nervous. It's been awhile so maybe I'm remembering wrong, but I'm fairly certain that if you do this, Death can never hit you with those sickles, no matter the angle.
