It was an amazing time which made the NES/Famicom one of my top 5 most favorite home video game console. However, it was just a small part of the bigger picture as it is not about Nintendo, since there were so many other arcade and computer games at the time too. The NES/Famicom was not "an evolutionary leap forward" as there were better and different technologies available. Arcades had games which the NES could not reproduce such as vector graphics which in some ways were better in "resolution" but lacked color or the color depth and voices in arcade Double Dragon. However, the NES/Famicom was better than the 2600, 5200, 7800, LCD games, and Master System so it is better comparatively in a sub-category of home systems released before 1987. I think we get as many today as ever since there's so many great independent creations.

I hope to be able to start saving for the RGB Blaster. Maybe get some fresh 75ohm things too for the TV. It may take a year or so to save up, so I hope Krikzz is still around by then.

I prefer the Flash version of Kei. Since that's the prequel, damn, she becomes old and busted fast in that image.

Nothing too out there, it's all the common stuff you'd expect. Titles from Capcom, Konami, Natsume, Tecmo, Technos, Sunsoft, etc. I'd say maybe God Slayer and Gordic Gaiden is a great place to start as those two are pretty standout fun. Zanac is a great Compile shooting game, so maybe give Recca and Crisis Force a shot.

Summer Carnival '92 Recca is one of my favorites. You will be amazed at the programming wizardry displayed. Lots of fast moving sprites and background effects.

If I could afford an AVS, I would not chance it with a Chinese bootleg that can damage it over time. I'd recommend getting the ones from krikzz or stoneagegamer instead.

Hard Off. Back in the early 2000s, engrish.com made fun of the store name, but that is where I got most of the games I have. The junk bins had a lot of great games, but in "bad" condition which is a lot better than the "like new" condition stuff is in my country. Raid the junk bins.

I don't have many Famicom games, but most of mine are black. The later Konami releases are my favorite because they actually wrap around to the top for end labels.
