the 'a morte' mapset I made has dialogue in the last hub (from MAP11 onwards - also some at the end of MAP07). Quite a bit too. The ZSDF is pretty intuitive and works pretty well. I enjoyed learning and implementing it

non-linear hub with dialog and NPCs in doom2 format would be amazing. Just use some custom sprites for your NPCs, get some from Realm667, there's plenty of random sprites there you could use.
