What are the must play games for Game Boy/Game Boy Color? I really loved Link's Awakening and Mario Land 2 as a kid, but my Game Boy library was pretty small Is there some kind of /vr/ recommendation list for GB games?

Let's talk about the Gameboy family.
What are the best games on the console?

I have a fairly large collection of classic Game Boy titles, but there are a few I would like to play that are simply too expensive for me to purchase. I also don't want to invest in an expensive Flash cart since I already have a ton of games in physical form.

So I guess I'm wondering if there's a more affordable option to round out my library, such as purchasing a cheap DIY ROM and making a sort of improvised multicart out of it. I don't know anything about flashing data to ROMs, but I've seen stuff like this on sites like kitsch-bent before.

Any thoughts?

so i figured out that w/ backlight modding, the original dmg game boy model is the best to work w/, since it seems to promise excellent battery life.
it also has a lot of space to accommodate wiring, mod chips (including bivert), etc.
so here's what i'm wondering, do different blacklight colors consume different amounts of electricity per hour? if so, i think i'll go w/ orange, since it would operate @ lower frequencies (thus lower power consumption), while still offering picture clarity that is on par w/ green & white. hell, if i'm satisfied w/ the clarity, a bivert mod chip may not exactly be necessary.
but i'm here for your input, so what do you guys think?

Just got a Gameboy looking for titles that i should buy.

I'm looking to build a collection for this nigger here, and omitting black GBC compatible carts for now, what are more games I should get? I have:

Are the Donkey Kong Land games worthwhile? Isn't DKL2 just a majorly downgraded port of DKC2 while omitting levels? Don't suggest Pokemon, because I have newer, better games.
