I tried to look at the code in wonderboy for sms to figure out the jumping physics, I had less knowledge back then but I was able to figure out memory addresses for gravity, velocity and a couple of other values used. You can change the physics by editing values in rom at locations 04296, 4299 and 0431A. From what I could find its similar to super mario world but simpler going by what I saw in a recent displaced gamers video.

I did a test decompiling my game engine I'm trying to make to see what decompilation looks like and it is harder to read because the compiler uses + instead jump commands as an optimization.

I attempted to decompile mario land so I could make it work on the sms but I need to rethink that because both systems have instructions with the same name that do different things so I would have to manually change them around.

I looked at the perfect dark decomp but I don't know c, I thought I would see variables to change but I didn't. I think it would be cool to port it to ms dos or the dreamcast.

Mainly to have another game for the sms but it could also be good for people who have that portable sms that takes roms or they may not want to the use the emulator that has that feature.
