Used to play this all the time, it has great cheat codes as well. Anyway, encountering a shark or finding skeletons in the abyss was kinda spooky.

meanwhile psp didnt even need l2/r2 buttons to play ps1 games
but you need that dual analog for ape escape you guys!
on a serious note, playing treasures of the deep with dual analogs is the only way now. plus i'd lie if i said i didnt enjoy playing jrpgs on phone's touch controls, if set up right, those can be played with one hand

>Did you play it for the first time recently, or is this is just a thread about it cause you felt like it?
I played it casually around 2017 for the first time, but recently I reinstalled it after many years of not touching videogames at all because I found my GoG installer saved on a backup. I'm really enjoying it. I also have a thing for mermaids and sea stuff in general. I'm playing it for like an hour in the evenings to unwind.

so why would i bind digital controls to analogue stick exactly, retard?
if you want true analogue controls that feel like 7th gen game, play treasures of the deep. you need to swap analog sticks binds and bind fire to shoulder buttons

the controls trash. as much as i dont like n64, im gonna use it now as argument as to why wouldnt they just make right analog stick to control camera like c buttons did. you really dont need attack to be there when you can aim yourself already with left stick. they shoulda made it camera control like in any normal platformers
if you want good game that uses analog sticks to their full potential, play treasures of the deep

this game almost got modern fps controls with dual analogue sticks and even using R3 and L3 buttons. with some minor rebinds in emulator it can play like fps from 7th gen
