This one's got some good world building based upon a fun & unique creation myth. I was personally very engaged by the mystery of the Black Monster, and found a 2nd playthrough very satisfying once you had the benefit of hindsight.

I was blown away by the reveal of the Black Monster's identity, and a 2nd playthrough of the game was quite rewarding for me, being able to understand everything that was going on that time around.

There are exceptions though. I enjoyed a second playthrough of Legend of Dragoon once you know the secret of the black monster. Also, Final Fantasy 10 when you know the complete Al Bhed language.

Yes, this because you can experience the plot from a whole new perspective once you know the secret of the black monster.

/vr/ is always shitting on this game. (Save it, you one anon who always calls it cliché and uninspired, I've seen you write that a half dozen times already). But I love it dearly.

LoD had such a fascinating world, what with all these species who supposedly all had the same mythical origin, birthed from a tree of life. But most importantly was the mystery of the Black Monster, which had me on edge the entire time I was playing the game. Once the secret was revelaed I found delight playing through the game a second time with the fresh perspective of knowing everything.
