The text boxes and fonts were fine in FF7. Nice, clean, pixel-perfect fonts with no bullshit fake anti-aliasing effects, and all the glyphs are basically perfect and well-balanced. If anything, it was kind of odd that they left an extra pixel of space between each glyph, but I guess it probably helped with readability (although, Square strangely did the same thing for the font in FFVI).
