Such an amazing game. It's really a shame that there hasn't been a proper 3rd game yet for Hrist.

Go in knowing that you will want to play it twice at the very least. The best ending is very esoteric to get and damn near impossible without a guide, so your first run through will be on Normal to get used to the game. The mechanics are VERY unique and will take some getting used to, but once you're in, you're fucking IN. Your second playthrugh will be on Hard so as to get different characters and story paths and also to shoot for the best ending.

Seriously, this game is fucking great and I am hard pressed to think of anything to compare it to. Be prepared for a very melancholic atmosphere.

The main "point" on the game is to get your party members to be strong enough to send to Valhalla. Each chapter you will be given a list of requirements for what Odin is looking for, make sure to meet these requirements as best as you can to get the best rewards. This means that you will sometimes be sending up characters you really love. Don't let this bother you. Any character you send up to Valhalla will be available again at the Endgame, so make sure to build yourself a badass Enherjiar army for Ragnarok.

Also, don't be ashamed if you feel the need to check a guide once in a while. The game can get VERY confusing for a newbie.

All in all, get ready for one of the most unique and incredible video games ever made.
