So I've noticed a couple things about the picture on my recently obtained PVM.

First, and this is most noticeable up close on black screens, there's two thick horizontal lines running up vertically. It's kind of like that effect you get when filming a CRT screen with a camera, except it's... Not on a camera.

Second, there's a sort of vertical "ripple" at the center of the screen, going downwards. It's very subtle, but I still notice it from time to time.

What I want to know is, is it my PVM or is this some of that scart interference I've heard others complain about? I ended up buying a cheap cable because I was on a bit of a budget for the moment. I can buy better cables soon, but I want to know if that's the likely cause before I go sinking more money into this.

Is that something I can adjust/fix? I know literally nothing about this.
