Thanks. Okay so the NES emulator on the cart is a bust, that's good to know.

As far as games go on the N64, the biggest ones I want to play are Super Smash bros, Diddy Kong Racing, Yoshi's Story, Tankz Global Assault, Mario Tennis and Tony Hawk 2. I already own Paper Mario, Kirby, Mario Kart, both Zeldas and GoldenEye. So the cost of those games can sort of justify the cost (260$ Canadian for v3.0) but it's not totally convincing me like my SD2SNES did and is still doing because of all the great romhacks available. The only romhack I have seen for the n64 that seemed interesting was Paper Mario : Hard Mode.

For the NES, the games would mostly be a long list of common games like Mario 2, contra, excite bike, kirby, ice climbers and kid icarus and so on. The biggest selling point is leaving the cartridge in the system. Also the Mario 3 randomizer is a lot of fun.

>want to sample lots of different games quickly to see which I like and which I don't
>have to get up and press the reset button on the console EVERY SINGLE FUCKING TIME I want to switch games
You guys memed me into thinking original hardware was supposed to be the best experience, but for someone like me who doesn't already know exactly what they want to play and just wants to try new things out, this is fucking excruciating. Give me a reason to keep this OG hardware + Everdrive instead of just getting a Wii or something and emulating. With a Wii I could switch to a new game in 2 seconds. With this, to change games I have to take off my comfy blankets, get off my couch, walk up, press the button, get back on the couch and get back under the blankets. This is exactly the kind of shit remote controls were made to solve.

Morning /ck/, pic related just arrived in the mail today and I'm in the process of moving the entire NES catalogue onto an SD. Anyone have any recommendations for some gems on this system that have flown under the radar? I'm open to pretty much anything that's not an RPG, block puzzle, or driving game.

Fairly new to the NES, but I've enjoyed much of what I've played. I just got me one of these and a lot of free time. What are your personal essentials and hidden gems?

Lately, I've been considering selling all of my games and using the money to purchase a few EverDrives. Is it worth it? Collecting has become so expensive, and I don't think I'm going to reach a point where I'm satisfied with what I own. That being said, I'd still like to play my retro games, which is why the EverDrives are so appealing. This thread is dedicated to those who have sold their collections for one reason or another. What did you sell? What caused the decision? Do you regret it? Have you started collecting again since? What advice do you have for others?
