Having too many games to play and/or too many other things to do can cause option paralysis. It becomes hard to start something, and when you do start you have this nagging feeling that you should be doing something else, or the feeling you have to get it over with quickly so you can move on to the next thing on your endless list.

The excessive internet use that we engage in today also causes compulsive behavior, a decline in attention span, and even more distractions. It becomes harder to decide to dedicate your time to a game.

These problems didn't exist in the pre-digital, pre-social media era. People weren't writing posts like this. So it's not just that you're getting older or don't like games anymore or something.

You should minimize internet use, finish any pending tasks you have that could be distracting you, and think carefully about what really is and isn't worth your time.

You should also try organizing/categorizing your games to better focus your efforts. Unplayed, unfinished, beaten, completed, multiplayer, junk, etc. On Steam you can even remove games from your account. howlongtobeat.com can be used to prioritize games that don't take long to finish.
