Paying $80 for floppy discs would be absurd nowadays. What's neat about PC games from those times is that they had much larger boxes to compensate. It wasn't until CD-ROM games became a thing that box sizes for PC games decreased; perhaps to also allow for more titles to be stocked on store shelves.
