Than you'd love this setup I had back in 2018 at 25, I still own all of it of course, but I had moved since.
1989 Zenith Space Command, RF only with an RF splitter for both consoles for no fuss.

Absolutely not true and you're a faggot for pushing such falsehoods.
Just look at this RF only 1989 Zenith and tell me it's not a work of art

If you're looking for a more authentic experience, using crts from the era, and aren't super anal about picture clarity being priority, I cannot recommend the 13" Zenith Space Command from 1989 enough!
It's RF and mono channel only, plus it's a super nice tv aesthetically too. So if you wanna play NES or Genesis on a crt that you likely would've had for your bedroom back in the early 90's, this is the tv to get.
If you can obtain a matching Zenith VCR as well, you've got yourself a very nice entertainment setup to impress all your cool cat friends, and get all the girls wet when you bring them home too.
That last bit is sarcasm, but it's cool to have nonetheless.
Pic related, my Zenith Space Command setup!

On the subject of giving young kids older games to play, am I a complete dork for wanting to give whatever future children I have this setup I own as their first "entertainment system"?
It's less strictly about old games, and more about having some unique frame of reference, that their peers most likely won't have, so they can appreciate the hopefully amazing technology and times they'll grow up in. I've got a whole bunch of fun vhs tapes too, Star Wars, 80's classics, Godzilla movies, 50's horror movies, the works. NES, Genesis, and a bunch more classic top quality games not included in pic related.

Owner of the PVM 2530 again. I have my NES along with another Genesis hooked up to my Zenith Space Command on RF in another room. Much more authentic experience.
