So, anons, I want to get into the classic DOOMs, I've been DOOM 2016 on Nightmare difficulty, but the classic DOOMs have kinda disinterested me, it seems to burn me out pretty easily, but with that said, I assume GZDoom is the best source port as usual, but what about things in game like difficulty, are there any QQL wads? I've heard Smooth Doom is pretty good for the animations but not too sure if it'd be right for a first playthrough.
