Do you actually know anybody who has horses? Cars are expensive and require constant monetary investment but it's nothing compared to fucking horses, man,

Any normal house or even apartment can accommodate a car. All you need is a spot on the street. Horses need shelter from the elements, which means a stable, which you sure as fuck can't fit in the back of your condo or apartment. And You can leave a car alone for days if you don't need and fill it up sparingly if you don't drive much. Horses eat massive amounts of food every fucking day even if you do nothing with them. And it's not like feeding dogs where you put food in a bowl in your kitchen and it takes five seconds, you have to keep a massive pile of hay, go out to the barn or whatever and grab a pitchfork to shovel that shit, and / or take them out to graze which takes a lot of time and a lot of land and a lot of fencing. And you need a giant fucking trailer to transport them anywhere and a giant fucking truck to haul the giant fucking trailer. And so on and so on

The only people who can actually keep horses are ranchers who are okay with the daily grind of tending to what are essentially livestock, or extremely rich people who pay someone else to do it for them. And the rich people still race horses just like the Romans used to, they just don't use chariots anymore because the constant deaths would make insurance unaffordable. They just cut out the middleman and put the charioteer directly on the horse now.

>our system is technically superior so it costs a lot more

I mean, they weren't wrong but I'm not sure what the point was in bringing that up in ad meant to appeal to average consumers. Explaining *why* it costs more than they could afford still doesn't help them afford it. I honestly don't know why they even bothered with Ad campaigns for the Neo Geo since it was so boutique. Everyone knew how awesome it was, you could either afford it or not.

The good:
>nice soundtrack
>actually shows some moderation with cutscene length and frequency
>no annoying Teddie / Morgana type character
>some top-tier waifus

the bad:
>some really boring social links
>feels like the whole town consists of 3 screens
>no unique dungeons outside of Tartarus
>the tired / sick mechanic is pretty lame

All in all a fun game but Persona 4 is better in literally every way

Always blades first. When you run low on magic the blades are what you'll have to rely on. Also, whereas Poseidon's rage really didn't crank out huge combos unless you were at level 2 Cronos' rage is good for huge combos even at level 1.

Unlike GOW 1 it's really difficult to accrue enough orbs at the end of the game to max out everything. I finished the game with Lv. 3 atlas rage, the gorgon head cronos' rage and the spear at level at lv.2 (the stronger freeze beam is really useful IMO, the spear was just for variety) and the hammer at level 3. I could have upgraded Typhon's bane to level 2 I guess since it's cheap but I never really found it to be necessary

This. I normally say go with original versions whenever possible but tin this case the original version was a fucking laserdisk, even the CD systems weren't really able to replicate it properly. I bought the HD version off psn for like $10, no regrets

Probably not. It's possible that if it had been a little more accessible at launch it would have had a higher user base and thus a longer shelf life and more quality games developed later in its life cycle rather than being abandoned. But I think the Playstation, and to a lesser extent the Saturn, were always going to kill it.

The 3DO library was just too weak because they bet too heavily on fad genres and the multimedia craze in general and even where they made more traditional types of games they were getting severely outclassed. Crash N' Burn looks like ass next to Wipeout. Alone in the Dark looks like shit next to Resident Evil. None of its best games were exclusive and even though it should have been able to hold its own when it came to port of things like Street Fighter it had the problem with its controller not having six buttons, which is completely fucking inexplicable given it came out after the SNES and Genesis both proved six was the minimum acceptable number going forward. They just guessed wrong at every turn.

I also think the regular TG16 looks better than the PC Engine.

>TurboGrafx in America, which nobody owned

I had one. I don't know anyone else who did but that was kind of what was so cool about it. The NES was so ubiquitous everyone eventually played most of its best games but very few kids got to play Bonk or Splatterhouse or Ninja Spirit so I'm glad I had one.
