The way Discord operates panders to the absolute dredges of society in a similar way to how Reddit's updoot system panders to consensus minded retards. It's not unusual to join a voice chat for something innocent like a gamedev server only for it to be filled with a bunch of dudes horny posting and you're not sure if one of them is a tranny trying to sound like a woman or a minor. And that's just the shit they're showing in the public not-hidden channel.

Discord has killed community projects. Just by nature of how Discord operates. It forces people into echo chambers where the devs get so closed off that they lose the plot and start doing retarded changes. Every project I see that primarily runs in Discord ends up this way.
